Frequently Asked Questions
Is therapy right for me?
If you want to make a change in your life, therapy can help. It takes courage, commitment, and vulnerability to get the most out of therapy so if you are ready to learn more about yourself, overcome obstacles, and learn healthier ways of living, therapy can benefit anyone who wants to improve the quality of life.
How long do sessions last?
Individual sessions usually last 50 minutes and family and couples therapy last 75 minutes. Depending on your situation, we may schedule a 75-90-minute initial session. I am flexible with scheduling longer sessions if needed.
How often will we meet?
Typically, we will meet on a weekly basis. We may decide to increase or decrease the frequency depending on the progress and need.
How long does therapy last?
This depends on your presenting problem and why you are choosing therapy at this time. Our work may be short or long-term, based on your needs and preferences. We will review progress and goals throughout our work together.
What types of clients do you work with?
I work with children and adolescents (5-17), young adults (18-24), and adults. I see individuals, couples, and families of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept any insurance at this time, but I am happy to provide you with superbills to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
What is your cancellation policy?
A 24-hour cancellation policy is maintained. Cancellations outside of that window will incur the full cost of the session.
